SIDORKEWICZ'S ONE HITTER LEADS MARAUDERS OVER BLUES

HAMILTON ON - McMaster starter Tom Sidorkewicz held the visiting Toronto Varsity Blues to just one hit over seven innings to earn his second complete game victory of the season. The Marauder offense also found their groove after a prolonged slump scoring six runs on six hits to secure the 6-0 win.
Sidorkewicz walked the opening batter of the contest and allowed a second inning hit, but after that he was perfect, retiring 16 straight batters the remainder of the contest. Daniel Colangelo took the loss for the Blues allowing four runs on three hits over five innings of work.
As Sidorkewicz started to heat up so did the Marauder offense. MAC scored all six of its runs between the third and sixth innings. Matthew Piccini (2 for 2, 2 R, 2 SB) and Graeme Copeland (2 for 3, 1 RBI, 1 R) led the way. Michael May was also 2 for 2 in the contest.
The second game of the doubleheader was suspended due to rain after six innings with the game tied at 3-3. The game will be resolved at a later date.
The Marauders will return to action when they travel to Guelph on Friday, October 6 th to take on the Gryphons. Game time is 6:00 PM.
